Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

PSC Membership Committee

  • Members of the Committee shall be appointed by the President or by any (2) members of the Board of Directors. The committee membership shall be ratified by the Board annually. Members shall serve staggered two-year terms, with two members joining in even-numbered years and two members joining in odd-numbered years. Being a newly established committee, two of the members appointed shall serve for a one-year term only.

    • Recruitment of new members

    • New member orientation

    • Retention of existing members

    • Must be a Parker Senior Center (PSC) member for a minimum of 6 months and be in good standing

    • Must have good interpersonal skills

  • Work under the direction of Center Manager

    • Create and implement outreach strategies as needed, to expand the membership base 

    • Engage with existing members for ideas, suggestions, assistance, etc. to monitor the members interest and satisfaction

    • Learn the Schedule Plus membership database. Be able to produce reports, monitor membership numbers, and report membership statistics of rates and trends to the Center Manager

    • Other as needed

    • Organize initial and on-going training and meetings for volunteers.

    • Schedule of volunteers for Center activities as needed/requested

    • Coordinate quarterly volunteer interest meetings

    • Must be a Parker Senior Center (PSC) member for a minimum of 6 months and be in good standing

    • Must have good interpersonal skills

  • Work under the direction of the Center Manager

    • Create and implement outreach strategies as needed, to expand the volunteer base

    • To the extent possible, match volunteer interest with where the Center needs volunteers

    • Reach out to activities, events, and committee chairpersons and the Center staff to assess and fill needs for volunteers

    • Host volunteer open house annually or as needed

    • Engage with existing volunteers for ideas, suggestions, assistance, etc., to monitor the members’ interest and satisfaction

    • Learn Schedules Plus membership database. Be able to produce reports, monitor volunteer numbers, and report volunteer statistics of rates and trends to the Center Manage
